Who is Mrs. Kalmink?
This is my thirty-sixth year of teaching and my eighth year at Woodbridge Elementary teaching Gifted and Talented (before teaching at Woodbridge, I taught at Lincoln Elementary School in Zeeland). Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of teaching every grade from first through fifth.
With the exception of living in Kentucky for a year (my husband and I took a year’s leave from our jobs in 2002-2003 to do mission work in Kentucky), I have lived in the Zeeland area all of my life. I graduated from Hamilton High School, and then I received my teaching degree at Calvin College. I have also done graduate work at Grand Valley State University.
Besides teaching, I enjoy running, biking, playing basketball, hiking, traveling and reading. I also enjoy spending time with my husband, Randy, and our children – Jake and Annie, and their spouses, Michi and Dylan. As a family, we enjoy traveling and going for dinner. Randy is an electrician for Hope College. He is a great husband, dad and person!
